Payment systems statistics

This section contains statistics compiled by the Bank of Spain regarding volumes and values of transactions processed through payment systems, as well as statistics on the use of different payment services and instruments by end-users.

Transactions sent in Target-Banco de España, in the SNCE, the distribution of retail payments by instrument in Spain, transactions made with payment cards, and statistics for Spain obtained from Regulation (EU) No 1409/2013 of the ECB are presented. The objective of the dissemination of these statistics is that the user can have a complete idea of both wholesale and retail payment transactions carried out by entities resident in Spain, including both domestic and cross-border transactions.
