The Banco de España has established a series of standards of conduct and behavioural guidelines that must be complied with by all its senior officers and employees in the performance of their duties. These rules regulate, among other aspects, the following:
- Incompatibilities and restrictions
- Conflicts of interest and the duty to abstain
- Restrictions concerning private financial transactions
- Ban on the use of inside information and obligation of secrecy
- Policy on accepting gifts, invitations or benefits
