European Banking Authority (EBA)

As part of its mandate, the European Banking Authority (EBA) fosters the financial stability of the EU banking system through the conduct of regular risk assessments and pan-European stress tests. These tasks support the EBA’s mission of contributing to the development and implementation of EU banking legislation by means of technical standards and guidelines as well as recommendations and opinions.

In carrying out its activities, the EBA discloses data and analyses of macroprudential relevance through thematic and risk reports -prepared by the Joint Committee of European Supervisory Authorities-, risk indicators and information on systemically important credit institutions in the EU, among other publications.
