Research Update

The Research Update provides a brief summary, each six months, of research activities at the Banco de España. It replaces the earlier Research Memorandum, which was published annually up until 2011.

One of the main tasks entrusted to the Banco de España is to analyse and research developments in the Spanish economy and its international environment. This involves carrying out numerous research projects and making their results available internationally to central bankers and other policy makers, and to academics and other experts in economics and finance, through a variety of channels of publication.
