Function
- Fostering and developing the Banco de España’s institutional relations at both the domestic and international level.
- Defining and coordinating the Banco de España’s internal and external communication policy, along with disseminating information and publications.
- Advisory services and support for the Governor and Deputy Governor.
- Coordination, analysis and advice in relation to the Banco de España’s participation in the Governing Council, General Council and Supervisory Board of the ECB, and its involvement in other European and international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund.
- The Banco de España’s participation in Spain’s permanent representation to the European Union and the House of the Euro in Brussels.
- Defining and coordinating international cooperation outside of the European Union, including the Bank's technical assistance to other national central banks, financial supervisors and other public agencies.
- Overseeing the Virtual Office and compliance with obligations in respect of transparency, public information and accessibility.
- Defining and coordinating the management of documents and records at the Bank.
- Managing the Bank’s General and Historical Archive, the Library and the Numismatic Service.
- Defining and developing financial education initiatives.
