Banco de España Internal Audit Charter
In accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Internal Audit Charter must define the function’s mandate, its position within the organization, its reporting relationships, the scope of its work, and the types of services it provides.
The Banco de España Internal Audit Charter is currently under review following the recent amendments approved to the Reglamento Interno del Banco de España.
External Quality Assessment
Since 2008, the Internal Audit Department has carried out an external quality assessment every five years, in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
