Educational activities at branches

The main functions of the Banco de España, its organisation and its activities in the field of financial education and advice to the public are explained at these talks, which are aimed mainly at schools and universities.

These activities are free but booking in advance is required.

Visits are being arranged for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Activities may be cancelled by the Banco de España up to 12 hours before the scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances, without any compensation being due. Applications will not be accepted from natural or legal persons who receive any kind of remuneration for the activity.

Once the visit has been booked, the following must be taken into account:

Access

  • Only persons who have been accredited in advance (at the latest one month before the date of the visit) will be allowed to access the building.
  • All visitors must carry a valid original identity card or passport (photocopies or images of the document on a mobile phone will not be accepted) and pass through the building’s security checkpoints.
  • No sharp objects are allowed in the building. Any sharp objects must be left at the security checkpoint and collected at the end of the visit.
  • Animals are not permitted in the building, with the exception of guide dogs.
  • Failure to comply with any of the security measures may result in denial of access to the building or removal from the premises

Rules for visitors

  • Wear the badge issued by the security staff visibly.
  • Follow the group, accompanied by the security staff, at all times. Do not stray from the group.
  • Do not take photos or videos inside the building.
  • Artworks must not be touched as they are fragile and can be easily damaged.
  • No eating or drinking is allowed during the visit.
  • In the event of an evacuation, follow the instructions of the Banco de España security staff.
