  • BANCO DE ESPAÑA-CEMFI-UIMP CONFERENCE ON THE SPANISH ECONOMY
    4-5 July 2024
    The Banco de España, together with CEMFI and Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) launches the third of a series of academic conferences on the Spanish economy, that will be held on 4 and 5 July 2024 in Santander.
    This conference series aims at bringing together top researchers to present their recent work on topics that are of critical importance for the Spanish economy, as well as distinguished policy-makers to discuss their views on these topics. This year’s conference will include academic sessions and panel discussions on productivity and the labour market.

    The 4th WE_ARE_IN Macroeconomics and Finance ConferenceOpens in new window is an event organized by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), Banco de España, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the European Central Bank (ECB). The aim of the conference is to bring together female economists who will present and discuss new research on macroeconomics and finance which is of particular interest to central banks. The conference will foster interaction between junior and senior female economists across academia and policy institutions. This edition will have a policy panel on "Artificial intelligence for policy making".

  • JOINT CEPR AND BANCO DE ESPAÑA TENTH ECONOMIC HISTORY SEMINAR

    The seminar is an event organized by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the Banco de España. The Economic History Seminar aims to bring together leading researchers in the field of economic history, and to foster interaction between junior and senior researchers across academia and policy institutions.
    Contributions are invited on topics including, but not necessarily limited to: Macroeconomic and financial history; Economic growth in the very long run; Institutions and economic development; History of the international economy.

  • 7TH ANNUAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE MACROECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL ASPECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
    14 November 2024
    The 7th Annual Research Conference on Macroeconomic and Financial Aspects of Climate Change, organized by Banco de España, is focused on the implications of climate change for the conduct of monetary policy, financial regulation, financial aspects of the green transition, and the macroeconomy in general. This year, the conference is adjoint to the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid conference, focused on the same issue, in cooperation with the European Economic Review.
