This event is part of the Georgetown University Global Economic Challenges Network (GEC), which sponsors a series of international workshops that bring together leading scholars with policymakers to discuss some of the most important economic problems of our time: in new window

The broad topics of the conference were:

  • trends and drivers in inequality of mortality
  • retirement security and health insurance
  • workforce aging, skill decline, and the organization of work
  • the macro perspective on aging and growth.

The conference consisted of eight presentations followed by a policy round table.
