The Banco de España does not operate with private individuals

The Banco de España is not a commercial banking institution and it therefore does not offer banking services to private individuals such as:

  • Opening current or savings accounts.
  • Setting up of deposits.
  • Granting loans.
  • Issue of debit or credit cards.
  • Sales of foreign currency.

Distrust any private individuals or companies that tell you that any of these banking products are available in your name in the Banco de España.
