Exchange rates and competitiveness indices

The competitiveness indices published in tables 20.6-20.8 and 2.11 of the Statistical Bulletin (and in table 2.4, 9.4 y 9.5 of the Economic Indicators section) have been updated accordingly with the information published by ECB on weights based on manufacturing and services trade in the case of indices based on consumer prices and total unit labour cost, and the published nominal component (see methodological note for details).

Exchange rates and competitiveness indices

As from 3rd February, the contents of tables 20.1 to 20.4 of monthly exchange rates will be modified. In particular, these tables won't include anymore the information on the currencies of those countries incorporated to the euro area since 2007. Nevertheless, the historical information on the exchange rates for that currencies will still be available for users at the statistical information search tool BIESTOpens in a new window. That change will imply a reallocation of the rest of the information keeping the number of tables unaltered.
