The Banco de España organises information sessions online for users of the statistics it disseminates. The sessions are led by experts of the institution and their aim is to extend user knowledge of statistics so as better to promote their use and interpretation.
The sessions address aspects such as the sources used in compiling the statistics, the methodologies followed and their relation to international standards, and the different means of dissemination of the data used by the Banco de España for each statistic. Further, participants in these sessions may request additional clarification or greater detail on the matters addressed.
Even though the sessions are online, only limited numbers of participants are allowed. Participation will be on a first-come first-served basis.
The sessions planned will be on:
- Statistical dissemination at the Banco España
- Central Balance Sheet Data Office statistics
- Financial statistics
- Summary macroeconomic statistics under the responsibility of the BE: Balance of Payments/International Investment Position and Financial Accounts
- General government debt according to the Excessive Deficit Protocol
