Detailed data on foreign direct investment and pension entitlements now available with the financial accounts

More detailed information on the financial accounts is now available thanks to two changes:

• BIEST now includes a sectoral breakdown of foreign direct investment by instrument and counterpart sector. A link is provided to a list of series for the rest of the world by instruments and counterparties, including details of foreign direct investment. The link can be found on the financial accounts website, below the tables for the rest of the world (balance sheet and transactions), under summary by instrument and counterpart sector of unconsolidated accounts. The list contains all the series included in those tables plus details of foreign direct investment.
• In the table Households and non-profit institutions serving households, under Breakdown by instruments of unconsolidated accounts, “pension entitlements” are now split into: "defined contribution" and "defined benefit".
