“In brief the external statistics” is a biannual update summary, which includes the most relevant data of the balance of payments (current and capital account, goods and services, tourism and travel). It also presents information on the international investment position (IIP) and its direct and portfolio investment headings, as well as the related CDIS and CPIS surveys. Likewise, external debt and international reserves also have a place in this summary.
