This Evaluation —initiated in Q1 2024— comprises the critical review of the appropriateness of the macroprudential policy-making framework and the potential to improve it. In particular, the provision of the resources and incentives to discharge the function, the completeness and validity of the framework for the early detection of systemic risks, the completeness and validity of the framework for the early detection of systemic risks, the efficiency and governance of the processes and the communication policy, the assessment of the framework for monitoring the macroprudential measures, and the quality of the work programme to keep the analytical tools and the area’s research up to date.
