The EBA is working on how to incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance risks into the European banking regulation and supervision framework. In December 2019, it published its Action Plan on Sustainable Finance, setting out the various mandates it has in this area and the delivery dates. Moreover, the action plan urges banks to be proactive in the management of these risks and in the related information they disclose to third parties.
