Main economic indicators, Financial Accounts and supplementary indicators

Two new tables are included, namely "2.4 Financial transactions account. Breakdown by institutional sector" and "2.5 Financial balance sheet. Breakdown by institutional sector", which replace those formerly bearing these numbers. Until now, these tables had been in Chapter 3, where they were denoted Tables 3.1 and 3.2, respectively.

Also included is a new table, denoted "2.7 Financial account. Net financial transactions and net financial assets of the institutional sectors". Consequently, the Tables 2.7 to 2.10 of previous editions have been renumbered Tables 2.8, 2.9, 2.10 and 2.11, respectively.

The current tables have been replaced by a new set of tables giving a summary of the financial balance sheet and financial transactions account of the institutional sectors. This information forms part of the publication Financial Accounts of the Spanish Economy, which is updated quarterly on the Banco de España website (www.bde.es).
