Update of construction indices due to the change of base year to 2021
Chapter 23. National Accounts, output and demmand. Chapter 25. Prices. Summary indicators
Pursuant to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197, laying down technical specifications for European business statistics, it has been determined that 2021 will be the new base year, with the change taking effect this year, in 2024. The previous base year was 2015.
This change affects the main price indicators prepared by Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible. In consequence the following tables have been updated and modified: 23.10 Construction industry production indices and 25.7 Construction cost index and average price per square metre of open-market appraised housing of the Statistical Bulletin, and 1.5 Real estate market indicators in the Summary Indicators.
