Definition
Institutional sector of the economy that includes: provincial councils, island councils, insular councils, autonomous cities, municipalities, minor local entities, and their groupings and dependent entities that are non-market producers.

Local Corporations are classified in sector S.1313 of the economic sectorisation, according to the European System of Accounts 2010, and are part of the General Government sector (S13).
