Institutional sector that includes the State and dependent entities that do not produce for the market.

Examples of dependent entities that do not produce for the market: the Asset Management Company for Assets Arising from Bank Restructuring (SAREB), the Bank Financial and Savings, holding company (BFA), the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring (FROB), the Electricity Deficit Amortization Fund (FADE), and, since 2012, the Deposit Guarantee Fund (FGD).

Central Administration corresponds to sector S.1311 of the economic sectorisation, according to the European System of Accounts 2010, and is part of General Government (sector S.13).
