Purpose

Performance of the public task vested in Banco de España in relation to resolution of financial institutions

Legal basis

Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller pursuant to:

  • Law 11/2015, of 18 June, on the recuperation and resolution of credit institutions and investment services companies.
  • Regulation (EU) 806/2014 of the European Parliament and the Council, of 15 July 2014, establishing uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firms in the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Resolution Fund

  • Shareholders
  • Employees of supervised institutions
  • Contacts of FMIs and key external providers of supervised institutions

Categories of personal data

  • Identification data: Name, surname, signature and electronic signature
  • Contact data: Phone number and e-mail
  • Professional and academic data: Professional position

Retention period

Personal data shall be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected and to allocate any liability arising from said purpose and from the processing of the data.

Security measures

In accordance with the First Additional Provision of the Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights, the security measures implemented at Banco de España correspond to those provided for in the National Security Scheme.
