On 26 and 27 March 2015, the Banco de España hosted at its Madrid headquarters the 12th meeting of the Competitiveness Research Network Working Group led by the central banks of the Eurosystem and the ECB, and in which international institutions such as the European Commission and the OECD, universities and research centres also took part. As part of this meeting, there was a Roundtable the previous day on the challenges in terms of competitiveness facing the Spanish economy ("Recovering competitiveness: challenges for the Spanish economy"). Four presentations were made at the Roundtable by experts from the Banco de España, the European Commission and research centres of national standing.
