Extension of information on holdings of central government debt
Financial markets statistics
As of 14 May, the Banco de España will publish new tables containing information that complements the existing data on the portfolios of holders of central government debt, within the topic “Financial markets statistics
”.
Specifically, the new tables are the following:
- Non-stripped government bonds (table 22.41
) - Principal components of stripped government debt (table 22.42
) - Coupon components of stripped government debt (table 22.43
) - Central government. Total Government debt (table 22.44
)
Tables 22.41 and 22.42 present the information broken down by type of security from the table relating to non-stripped government bonds and principal of stripped State debt (nominal outstanding amounts, portfolio to maturity) (table 22.4
).
Table 22.43, in turn, presents information on holdings of stripped coupons, which are not included in the total central government debt.
Finally, table 22.44 shows total central government debt, calculated as the sum of Treasury bills (table 22.3
) and non-stripped government bonds and principal of stripped State debt (table 22.4
).
