Purpose

• Provision of library services
• Provide the staff of the Bank of Spain with relevant and up‑to‑date information on economic, financial, regulatory, or institutional events that may affect the exercise of its legally assigned functions, as well as analyses of various texts on monetary policy

Legal basis

For purpose 1 “Provision of library services”:

• (i) Performance of a contract to which the data subject is party.
• (ii) Compliance with legal obligations pursuant to:
  • Law 16/1985, of June 25, on the Spanish Historical Heritage.
  • Law 10/2007, of June 22, on reading, books and libraries.

For purpose 2 “Provide the staff of the Bank of Spain with relevant and up‑to‑date information on economic, financial, regulatory, or institutional events that may affect the exercise of its legally assigned functions, as well as analyses of various texts on monetary policy”:

• (iii) Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller:
  • Law 13/1994, of 1 June, on the Autonomy of Banco de España.

Categories of personal data

• Identification data: Name, surname, ID or Passport number, user code, personal register number
• Contact data: Phone number, e-mail, postal address
• Professional data: position help
• Technological data: IP address

Retention period

Personal data shall be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected and to allocate any liability arising from said purpose and from the processing of the data.

Security measures

In accordance with the First Additional Provision of the Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights, the security measures implemented at Banco de España correspond to those provided for in the National Security Scheme.
