The Bank of Spain and the CEPR are organise a joint seminar on economic history

The Banco de España hosted the 13th CEPR (Centre for Economic Policy Research) History Symposium and the 11th Banco de España Economic History Seminar at its premises in Roda de Berà, which took place on 27, 28 and 29 May.
The conference, opened by Deputy Governor Soledad Núñez, was attended by representatives from both institutions and the international academic community. Over the course of these three days, attendees discussed a wide range of issues in the field of economic history, such as globalisation and the legacies of colonisation, financial, banking and monetary history, financial integration in the interwar period, and the role of institutions. Sessions were also organised to discuss issues related to technological and cultural change, demographic trends, gender gaps and economic empowerment.
