The release of the January 2026 data of the Foreign Trade Statistics coincides with the incorporation by the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) of a new data file on its website, in addition to the existing one (see information note
, only available in Spanish). This change aims to provide more up-to-date and accurate information on the Foreign Trade in Goods Statistics.
The Banco de España disseminates this information in the tables detailed below. These tables do not yet incorporate the additional information provided by the AEAT. For this reason, there may be some differences—although not very significant—compared with the results from the new file.
The affected tables are as follows:
- "Current and capital account. Breakdown" (table 17.3)
- "Imports/arrivals and exports/dispatches" (table 18.1)
- "Imports and arrivals by product" (table 18.2)
- "Imports and arrivals by geographical distribution" (table 18.3)
- "Exports and dispatches by product" (table 18.4)
- "Exports and dispatches by geographical distribution" (table 18.5)
The Banco de España will duly inform users of the date on which this information will be updated in the tables.
