Following the entrance of Bulgaria in the euro area, and with the publication of data for March collected in tables “Indices of Spanish competitiveness” (2.11
), “Indices of Spanish competitiveness vis-à-vis the euro area and the EU-27” (20.6), “Indices of Spanish competitiveness vis-à-vis the developed countries, industrialised countries and newly industrialised Asian countries” (20.7) and “Effective exchange rates of the main currencies vis-à-vis developed countries” (20.8 ) of the “Exchange rates and competitiveness indices” section, Spain’s indices vis-à-vis the euro area and the group of developed countries have been updated to incorporate Bulgaria, replacing the previously published indices for these aggregates. In addition, the data for all indices have been revised as a result of the update to country weightings carried out by the European Central Bank.
