Purpose
- Processing and handling of electronic certificates issued either through Banco de España's or the ESCB’s public key infrastructure (PKI).
- Handling of electronic certificates of employees representing Banco de España.
Legal basis
- Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority pursuant to: (i) Decision of the European Central Bank of 11 January 2013 laying down the framework for a public key infrastructure for the European System of Central Banks (ECB/2013/1) (2013/132/EU) as amended by Decision of the European Central Bank of 11 December 2015 (ECB/2015/46), and (ii) Decision of the European Central Bank ECB/2015/47 of 11 December 2015 on the access and use of SSM electronic applications, systems, platforms and services by the European Central Bank and the national competent authorities of the Single Supervisory Mechanism.
- Performance of a contract to which the data subject is party.

Retention period
Personal data shall be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected and to allocate any liability arising from said purpose and from the processing of the data.
Security measures
Security measures provided for in Annex II of Royal Decree 3/2020, of 8 January, which regulates the National Security Scheme in the field of Electronic Administration.
