Abstract
This paper presents the main results of the Spanish Survey of Household Finances 2024, which reflect the financial situation of Spanish households as at end-2024. These results allow the income, assets, debt and spending of Spanish households to be analysed within a context marked by the transition from a period of intense inflationary disruption – driven by the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis, as well as by the tightening of monetary policy – to another phase in which easing inflation, strong employment and the gradual improvement of financial conditions supported more positive developments in economic activity and households’ real income. The paper also describes the most significant changes observed in these dimensions compared with the previous edition of the survey (2022).
