Changes in the production and dissemination of securities issues statistics

In the next publication scheduled for January, new statistical series of the primary securities market will begin to be published. These new series reflect the information from the official securities issuance statistics of the European System of Central Banks (referred to as CSEC). As announced on February 29th 2024, the publication schedule for primary securities market data will be affected by this change, improving the timeliness of the data compared to the current schedule. Additional information will be provided coinciding with the effective date of the change.

As a result of the change, the structure of the tables published on the primary securities market (within the Financial Markets thematic area and in chapter 21 of the Statistical Bulletin) will be modified. The structure of the new tables  (672 KB) and the tables of correspondence  (174 KB) are available.

The current publication will be discontinued and moved to the Historical statistics section, where the information will continue to be updated until the end of 2024.
