Update of the Observatory of the Non-Banking Fintech Industry in Spain – 2024 Financial Information

A new update of the Observatory of the Non-Bank FinTech Industry in Spain has been published, incorporating the information available as of May 2026 on the census of FinTech entities and the financial data corresponding to the 2024 financial year.

The Observatory identifies a total of 417 FinTech entities resident in Spain (considering the entire period covered by the Observatory). Most of these entities are micro-enterprises and are mainly concentrated in the regions of Madrid and Catalonia.

This update includes financial information for 299 entities, five more than in the previous edition. These entities recorded significant growth in their activity during 2024, with their aggregate balance sheet increasing by 23.4% to reach €2.528 billion.

Employment in the sector also continued to show positive performance, increasing by approximately 500 people compared with the previous year and reaching around 7,000 employees within the sample of firms analyzed.
