Temporary suspension of the statistic «Construction industry production indices» (table 23.10)

The Construction Industry Production Indices Survey (CoIPIS) (table 23.10), produced by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility until December 2025, has been transferred to the National Statistics Institute (INE). Since then, it has been renamed the “Construction Production Index” (COPI), in accordance with the agreement signed on 21 May 2025.

Following the methodological analysis carried out on the former CoIPIS, the INE has established a two-phase work plan with the aim of defining a methodology consistent with the rest of its structural indicators. As a result, the full implementation of the COPI will not take place until January 2028, coinciding with the 2025 base-year change.
