The European Central Bank (ECB), in collaboration with the national central banks of the European System of Central Banks, has updated its analytical climate-related statistical indicators. These indicators are designed to strengthen the financial sector’s ability to assess sustainable financing, as well as transition and physical risks associated with climate change.
The updates incorporate advanced methodologies, new datasets, and adjustments that reflect the effects of inflation, ensuring more accurate monitoring of decarbonization efforts and the growing impact of climate risks.
