Modification of information on employment contract statistics

In order to maintain and improve the information provided in the table «Employment contracts» (table 24.17), within the employment and wage statistics of the «General Economic Statistics »topics, various updates have been made and the figures revised to adapt them to the changes that have occurred in recent years. Specifically:

• In the section on the modality permanent contract:
  • - The column for the promotion of permanent contracts has been eliminated.
  • - A new column of permanent intermittent contracts has been added.
• In the section on fixed-term contract types:
  • - The column related to task or service contracts which disappeared by virtue of Decree-Law 32/2021, of 28 December, on urgent measures for labour reform, guarantee of stability in employment and the transformation of the labour market, is deleted.
  • - The interim contract has been renamed to substitution contract, which is its correct designation.
  • - The information provided in training, retirement and other contracts (formerly apprenticeship, training, partial and special retirement, stan-in disabled and others) is restructured. Like this:
    • - Training contracts include attainment of professional practice, alternate training and predoctoral researchers in training.
    • - Retirement contracts include relief, partial retirement and substitution for retirement at 64 years of age.
    • - Other contracts incorporate those linked to active employment policy programs, financed by European Funds, artists and technical or auxiliary personnel, people with disabilities, doctoral research personnel, professional athletes, university research teachers and other contracts.
