To maintain and improve the information provided in the tables related to the Industrial production index, published under the section Output and demand
, the following changes have been made:
Seasonally adjusted series
From now on, the data for the Industrial production index (tables 23.1, 23.2, 23.3 y 23.4) will be published adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects—factors that have a significant impact and make data interpretation more difficult.
Removal of the “Tobacco industry” component
Due to the absence of data (resulting from statistical confidentiality), the tobacco industry component will no longer be published within the manufacturing industries (previously listed in the sixth column of table 23.2).
This removal causes a leftward shift of one column for the series previously located in columns 7 onward of table 23.2, as well as for all series in tables 23.3 y 23.4.
Inclusion of the “Water collection, treatment and supply” component
In table 23.4 the series “Water Collection, treatment and supply” has been added in the last column.
