Financing for productive activities

The Banco de España monitors the banking industry’s exposures to the sectors that most contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. These sectors can generate significant banking sector exposure to the transition risk arising from the measures adopted to mitigate climate change, which affect them particularly sharply. The charts show the percentage accounted for by the loans received by the sectors that generate the highest volume of emissions grouped according to their NACE classification, and the performance over time.
