Operations with credit institutions supervised by the CNMV
Claims and complaints concerning activities related to the securities markets are not dealt with by the Banco de España's Market Conduct and Claims Department, even though the products have been transacted through institutions supervised by the Banco de España, but by the service set up for this purpose by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The CNMV specifically supervises:
- Transactions with transferrable securities.
- Transactions with investment funds or other collective investment institutions, regardless of whether repayment of the principal is guaranteed.
- Sale contracts on options, previously known as atypical financial contracts, investments or deposits where repayment of the principal invested is not guaranteed at maturity.
