The Annual Report of the Banco de España reviews the performance of the Spanish economy from a global perspective.

It describes, as a backdrop to the domestic situation, the performance of the international economy, and analyses developments in the Spanish economy, with special emphasis on monetary and fiscal policy and economic and financial flows.

An appendix summarises the main legislation on the financial system approved in the period covered by the Annual Report and, since 2003, a chapter on the management of the Bank outlines the key aspects of its activity.
