About us

In holding this conference the Banco de España wished to pay tribute to Luis Ángel Rojo, governor from 1992 to 2000. In Spain, Rojo’s academic, institutional and economic policy implementation contributions left an indelible mark. The conference comprised four roundtables in which leading economists discussed the state of macroeconomic policy, European integration, the Spanish economy and Luis Ángel Rojo’s role in Spanish economic policy.

The book entitled “Luis Ángel Rojo Gobernador del Banco de España. Discursos y conferencias”, published by the Banco de España, was presented at the conference.
