Independent valuations of the Spanish banking sector
This section includes documents relating to the stress tests which were conducted in 2012 to determine the capital requirements of the banking sector. The stress tests were conducted by independent specialists: two international consultancies, Spain’s four main audit firms, six national and international real estate appraisal companies, and a project lead-manager. In addition to Spain’s national authorities, representatives from the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the European Banking Authority and the International Monetary Fund also participated.
