The Economic History Studies series comprises, inter alia, work by researchers who have received grants from the Banco de España. It seeks to promote the dissemination of studies contributing to a deeper knowledge of the Spanish economy in the past, focusing on its quantitative aspects.

The analyses, opinions and conclusions of this research are the views of the authors, and are not necessarily shared by the Banco de España.
