Attention to the public during the COVID-19 crisis

Press release: 20/07/2020 Changes in the procedure for scheduling an appointment to conduct business in person at Banco de España branch offices File PDF: Opens in a new window (136 KB)

From 8 June, on all its premises, the Banco de España resumed attending personally to the general public, after this was suspended further to the Government’s decision to decree a state of alert to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Resumed services were gradual, as the cities where the Bank’s premises are located moved into phase 2 of the “Plan for transition to a new normality” approved by the Council of Ministers on 28 April 2020.

By prior appointment, and following the safety measures recommended by the health authorities, all premises will offer the usual services to the public (the submission of documents for register and current-account-holder transactions will not require an appointment). Opening hours for these services to the public will be Monday-Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Prior appointments may be made at any of our branches by calling the number 913 385 000 (on Spanish mainland, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for currency exchange and public debt services, and for Central Credit Register (CCR) procedures, unless such procedures are with the Madrid CCR, where calls will be attended from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or completing the online forms below:
