In which cases will the Claims Service not accept a claim?

A claim may be refused in the following cases:

  • Where data essential for processing the claim have been omitted.
  • Where no reference is made to specific operations, or the issues raised are different to those presented to the customer service department of the entity in question.
  • Where it has not been certified that a period of two months has elapsed since the claim was presented to the customer service department or the ombudsman of the entity in question.
  • Where the claim relates to issues within the jurisdiction of administrative, arbitration or judicial bodies, or is involved in a legal case being heard by these bodies.
  • Where the claim repeats other previous claims.
  • Where the time limit within which a claim may be made or action taken has elapsed.

It should be noted that the Claims Service is not responsible either for evaluating possible damages or losses nor may it issue decisions about amounts awarded as compensation.
