The Banco de España is inviting the institutions to an information session about the features of the Banco de España's new services network (redbde.es) and the process through which institutions will access the Banco de España's Virtual Private Network (VPN) and its services.
At the end of the information session, the Banco de España sends each institution the form to subscribe to access to the VPN with Telefónica.
If the institution requires file exchanges with the Banco de España, the institution must request the Editran software from Indra.
Within a period of 15 days, the institution must return the subscription form for Telefónica duly filled out, by sending it to the e-mail redbde@bde.es. It takes approximately 45 days from the date this application is submitted until the necessary infrastructure is fully operational.
Telefónica supplies and configures the institution's access to the VPN.
The Banco de España invites the institution to the training session (Editran or access to the Banco de España's interactive applications), which will be held at the Banco de España Training Centre (c/ Alcalá, 522 - Madrid).
After the training session has been completed, the institution will check its access to the VPN via its facilities and will also attempt what has been seen on the course, as applicable:
Installation of the Editran software on TCP/IP, generation and subsequent exchange of RSA keys and definition of Editran exchange sessions (that replaces the Mensatex system and Editran on X.25).
Application for and installation of the electronic certificate in the web browser, for access to the Banco de España's interactive applications (replacing the NSLBE Terminal).
The Banco de España and the institution set the production date for the new platform (Banco de España's VPN), and from that time it can cut off its connection with the Banco de España over the public X.25 Iberpac network.
